Kiwi Bin Liners - a soft compressible membrane lining the wall and floor will reduce produce reject rate.
Produce such as kiwifruit, avocado and apples are a key export product for NZ, however a percentage do not meet the high export quality requirements.
Fruit is Picked, Transported, Stored and Processed, always in large timber and plastic bins. Through this process the weight and pressure of the produce against the solid timber or plastic walls and floor of the crate lead to a percentage of goods not meeting export standard.
Kiwi Bin Liners offer protection by adding a soft compressible barrier between the fruit and the floor and walls of the fruit bins. This reduces travel sickness and reject rate of various produce due to bruising.

NB. There were a number of considerations which helped shape the final product designs. These liners and clips need to work seamlessly through the pick to pack process. Design considerations include:
Easy to install and remove.
The liners stay within the bin, even when the crate is upside down.
Everything within the bin and below the top edge of the bin.
No sharp edges which could damage produce as it is tipped out.
Air and water permeable.
