Many factors will affect your budget, the quality of components, DIY vs custom install, what additional trades needed to prepare the space for your sim, do you plan on starting with a basic setup and building it up over time?
As an indication a very basic setup could be put together for just a few thousand dollars. To hit, contain and track your golf shots you would need a hit mat, a net, an entry level launch monitor with a compatible PC or tablet.
At the other end of the budget scale is ‘You dream it, We build it!’ A full custom bespoke Golf Simulator with premium technology, components, fittings, install and setup could cost $40K and upwards.

This gives you the foundation to build from, slowly building up to your dream Golf Simulator Enclosure when you are ready. Adding wall and ceiling frames, protective and noise deadening panels & screen surrounds, a putting turf, adding or upgrading your Projector, PC and launch monitor.

There are so many things to consider before you can turn an empty space into your dream golf simulator. The location, size and positioning of your enclosure, hit mat and putting turf, impact screen, how do I protect my surroundings from stray shots, do I need a frame for my enclosure or can I build into an existing space, what launch monitor, projector, PC requirements and software should I use, the list goes on!

Other Considerations
With just a handful of the key golf sim components you can be playing Sim Golf. If you are looking to elevate your experience in both looks and functionality here are some other considerations.
Alternate uses - With a large room, projector and screen already set up, this space can double as a cinema room.
Additional screens - consider a screen to keep track of the Friday night footy while you play your round.
Lighting - a projector will show it best image in complete darkness, but light is needed to hit a golf ball. Ambient light spilling into the projectors beam will wash out the image. A pin or spot lights aiming directly on the hit spot is the best option.
Audio - adding speakers or even a surround sound system, especially if you plan to use the space as a cinema room.
Room alterations - plan first!
Cables - plan ahead and run your power, data and audio cables early.
Cameras - for swing recording and analysis.
Club storage - a wall mounted rack for easy club access while playing.
Bar Leaner & Beer Fridge - elevate your enclosure to a premium entertainment area.
